Fake birth certificates
Additional Deputy Commissioner, East Khasi Hills, I Majaw lodged a complaint that her office has detected that as many as 14 people submitting fake birth certificates in her office. They are identified Kartic Sinha, Pankaj Kumar Rawani, Tusal Gautam, Sanjeet Kumar Ray, Akbar Jyrwa, Basudev Shill, Bishoraj Banai, Arun Das, Debas Hajong, Vivek Sharma, Aklesh Kumar Rai, Sangita Biswakarma, Neha Kumari Ray and Relina T Sangma.
Documents forged
Nitin Khandelwal of M/s Hexacon Ltd., Laitumkhrah, Shillong lodged a complaint that in April 2018, Telecom Enforcement Resource & Monitoring (TERM) Cell NE-1, found that the documents for obtaining connection of mobile No. 8416002995 in the name of Suman Nath of Khliehriat, East Jaintia Hills, was apparently forged.
Truck driver stabbed
Afzal Ali, driver of truck (AS-25CC-1500) lodged a complaint that on June 30 around 3.30 pm, a Maruti Alto-800 car (ML-11-1997) intercepted his truck at Mynkseh, Ladrymbai, East Jaintia Hills and three unidentified persons came out of the car, stabbed the complainant with a knife and looted Rs. 12,000 from him.
Assault
Meena Khardewsaw and Srial Thongni, both of Mawsyntiew, Rangblang village, South West Khasi Hills jointly lodged a complaint that on June 30 at about 8.30 pm, Khren Thongni assaulted and also threatened them with dire consequences, in his residence.
Theft
O Paul Saioo lodged a complaint that on June 29, his nephew Tris Saioo stole Rs. 1 lakh from his house at Samatan village, West Jaintia Hills.
