Malki rally demands justice for slain cabbie

SHILLONG: The Superintendent of Police (city), Steve A Rynjah has assured to deliver justice to the family members and relatives of (L) Hapish Nongbri who was killed by suspected drug users.
The SP was speaking during a rally held in Madan Malki which was organised by Seng Samla Malki in collaboration with the Dorbar Shnong of Malki on Thursday.
Nongbri was abducted on June 15 by four persons and his body was found in Mawiong Sung, Sung Valley, Mawryngkneng on June 21.
The police have arrested three persons from Lawsohtun Block-II identified as Freddy Sohtun, Lastborn Ksanlah and Tenzing – a native of Arunachal Pradesh.
However, the fourth suspect is still at large.
During the rally, Rynjah also urged the youth to steer clear of drugs.
