Road closed
The road portion from RC compound Junction to Wagesik will remain closed to all vehicular traffic with immediate effect due to the damage in view of damage it sustained due to incessant rains.
SK oil price
The DC (supply), West Jaintia Hills has informed that the price of SK oil has been revised and fixed with immediate effect. Wholesale price from Jowai and Thadlaskein depot will be Rs. 35.40 per litre and Rs 38.00 from Shangpung. The retail price from Jowai and Thadlaskein depot will be Rs. 38.00 and Rs 40.50 per litre from Shangpung outlet.
YMCA
The 30th Annual Regional Conference of YMCAs North East Region was inaugurated on Friday at Ahavah Retreat Centre, New Kenches Trace, Rilbong. The conference is from July 26-28. Dr R. Lalthangliana, Minister Health and Family etc, Government of Mizoram will be attending the session on Saturday.
General meet
The general meeting of the Ieng Rasong Sports Social and Cultural Club was held recently. The members discussed about various issues and also plan for a pre advance Christmas and musical evening for December. The club also paid tribute to the freedom fighter U Tirot Singh Syiem on his 184 death anniversary by laying a wreath at the tomb of U Tirot Singh at State Central Library.
