Independence Day Run 2019

SHILLONG: Office of the District Sports Officer, East Khasi Hills, Shillong, in collaboration with the office of Deputy Commissioner, EKH will organise the Independence Day Run 2019 on August 15 starting from Madan Iewrynghep (Fire Brigade Ground) at 6:30 am. The route will commence from Madan Iewrynghep (Fire Brigade Ground) towards St. Edmund’s School — Dhankheti — Malki Point — Barik Point — Round P.W.D. compound — State Central Library — IGP — Kachari/DC’s Office — Raj Bhavan — YWCA — Chief Secretary Bungalow — BSNL Quarters — Polo Towers — Polo Bazar — CRPF Camp — Mertin’s Restaurant and will culminate at the VIP Gate, J.N.Sports Complex, Polo, Shillong. The run is divided into two parts; one for the civilians and the other for defence personnel. The first, second and third winner will get cash prizes of Rs 7000, Rs 5000 and Rs 3000 respectively. There will be special prizes for youngest participant and the oldest participant. Participants will have to register themselves at the office of the District Sport Officer, Shillong, J.N Sports Complex Polo, from August 5 to 14, during office hours.
