The quarterly Pension Adalat and Nation-wide Pension Adalat for DOT/BSNL pensioners falling under the jurisdiction of NE-I and NE-II circles will be held on August 21 and 23 respectively at Shillong and Imphal. DOT/BSNL pensioners having any unresolved grievance may send details of their grievance along with copy of PPO and mobile number to Accounts Officer (Pension), O/o the CCA (NE-I), CTO Building 2nd floor, Shillong – 793001 on or before August 16, or contact telephonically at 0364-2221001.
Admission notice
Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Rymbai, East Jaintia Hills District invites online application for admission to class VI for the session 2020-21 through selection test. Interested candidates can apply through online portal/ website: -www.nvsadmission-classsix.in. Last date of submission of online application is September 15, 2019. Date of examination is April 11, 2020 at 11.30 am in all the respective centres of each block.
IMFL
In its continued drive against illicit liquor, the Excise staff of East Khasi Hills District, Shillong conducted raids in the restaurants and stalls in the town and its outskirts where during the month of June, 2019, the department detected 29 cases with a seizure of 302.800 litres of i/d liquor and 6.930 litres IMFL. In this connection, 21 persons were arrested under Excise Act.
