Abduction
Sekeral Ali Khan lodged a complaint stating that on August 7, he accompanied Islam Hoque Choudhury to the District School Education Office in Dakopgre, Tura. However, around 4:30 pm, four persons entered the office premises and abducted him and his driver Abdul B Choudhury in his own vehicle (ML-05Q-7467). Later, the miscreants called up his family members using Islam Hoque Choudhury’s mobile phone and demanded Rs 5 lakh for his release or he would be shot. In this connection, Police arrested the accused who have been identified as Chiangka Ch Marak also known as Bromeo (23), Sengkam Ch Marak (26), Alphonce D Sangma and Chakseng T Sangma (27).

Vishal Mondal of Anath Babu Bazar, Kolkata, Attorney, M/s Van Shoes, lodged a complaint stating that some individuals/firms operating in Police Bazar, Shillong are indulging in manufacturing counterfeit products of the above mentioned brand.

Theft
On August 7, unknown miscreants stole one Bolero pick-up belonging to Kom Dkhar from his residence at Jalaphet, Bri-Sutnga in East Jaintia Hills.
On August 7, unknown miscreants stole one mobile phone and Rs 5,000 from the vehicle of Amit Kumar Singh, which was parked at Hotel Pegasus Crown in Police Bazar.
