Plantation, cleaning drive at Krangsuri

AMLAREM: The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), West Jaintia Hills District, Jowai in collaboration with Raid Buam Environmental Protection Association and the Amlarem sub-division administration organised a tree plantation and cleaning drive at Krangsuri on Friday.
Speaking at the programme, D Sohtun, Secretary DLSA, West Jaintia Hills District, said its objective was to impart awareness on keeping tourist spots and public places clean with a special focus on environment conservation.
The welcome address was given by DMK Sangma Shadap, Judicial Magistrate, Amlarem.
Personnel from the forest and police departments participated in the plantation and cleaning drive.
