Duped
Barisha Dkhar lodged a complaint that an unidentified person cheated her by failing to deliver a Maruti Alto 800 (ML-10B-1115), for which the complainant has already paid.
Vicky Lyngdoh of Deinchynrum village East Jaintia Hills (EJH) lodged a complaint that Robert, who was dealing in old notes and coins, cheated him of Rs. 10,000.

Murder attempt
Moses Dkhar, President, VDP Kyndong Tuber village, West Jaintia Hills lodged a complaint that on August 17, Sanki Kyndait attempted to murder the VDP members with a ‘dao’ and threatened them with dire consequences.

Threatened
Bostone M Sangma lodged a complaint regarding the incident at Tojeng Hotel, Ringrey, Tura, on August 15, that one Iyan Dank D Shira accused him of circulating a photograph and involvement in a mob attack of his sister. He also alleged that Shira has given a defamatory statement and threatened him with dire consequences.

Theft
Shankar Prasad lodged a complaint that on August 11, his employee viz., Rajiv Kumar (30) stole Rs 3,50,000 from his office at Barapathar, Shillong.
Cyber crime
Rightious N Sangma, MDC of 7-Babelapara constituency lodged a complaint that on August 3, a Facebook user with the name ‘Ku’rang Arengh’ made remarks against him and also uploaded his photograph along with the photocopy of a stolen document alleging the complainant of illegally collecting tax from the dry fish traders.
