Kharshiing discusses M’laya Natl Games

SHILLONG: John F Kharshiing, Working President, Meghalaya State Olympic Association and Injeti Srinivas, Secretary, Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Govt of India, met in an informal meeting at the latter’s official chambers at Shastri Bhavan in New Delhi, on Friday, Kharshiing informed in a release issued here.
As a result of the meeting, the former secretary sports and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), South Asian Games, has given the assurance that all inputs and experience for the Meghalaya National Games will be shared.  The former Secretary of Sports assured to provide all inputs for the successful conduct of the national games in the state. He also lauded the efforts of North East and also recalled the valuable contribution by Meghalaya in the co-hosting the South Asian Games in 2016. 
The issue of CSR funding for NE Olympics Associations was also discussed and Injeti Srinivas informed that the Ministry of Corporate Affairs was examining the matter at the national level. 
A copy of the memorandum submitted by the sssociation on August 19 to the Union Minister of Sports, GoI, was also given to Secretary, Corporate Affairs who assured to examine the relevant issues.
