RESUBELPARA: A three-day block level arts and cultural competition was held under the three blocks of North Garo Hills District from August 21 to 23 at Kharkutta, Resubelpara and Bajengdoba Community & Rural Development Blocks.
The competition was organised with the purpose of providing a platform to the youth of the district by enabling them to showcase their talent.
The president of Damas Youth Forum and research officer of the North Garo Hills Planning Department said that they hope to revive the traditional practices of Garo ancestors through the competition by encouraging the youngsters to learn about cultural practices and how they can be preserved.
