SHILLONG: The Hynniewtrep Achik National Movement (HANM) alleged that hundreds of trucks transporting coal and charcoal ply along the Umsaw Umiam till Mawmaram in West Khasi Hills every night which has resulted in the dilapidation of the road.
The HANM Umiam circle said the bad condition of the aforementioned road has caused problems for the public as the road is narrow.
It may be mentioned that the Umiam circle has lodged a complaint with the concerned authorities alleging that the road developed potholes and ditches after having been black topped one week back.
