CBI checks in NEIGRIHMS

SHILLONG: The CBI on Friday conducted surprise checks in four departments of NEIGRIHMS as part of its sweep across the country in various government departments.
Sources said that the CBI sleuths conducted the check in Cardiology, CTVS, Orthopaedics and Radiology departments.
They said that quite a number of CBI personnel descended in the institute and took away many documents.
The CBI on Friday started the drive against anti-corruption across the country in various government departments.
Under the operation, more than 150 Joint Surprise Checks (JSCs) at various places of suspected corruption across the country were being undertaken in association with the vigilance officers of concerned government departments, ministries and organisations.
Similar checks were conducted in New Delhi, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Guwahati, among other cities.
