Resignation
The Executive Committee of Synjuk Ki Rangbah Kur in a meeting held at Khasi Nastional Dorbar Hall on Monday has accepted the resignation of president of the Synjuk, HS Shylla. The EC has appointed Herman Nongrum (Retired Judge) as the interim president till the general council.

Unclaimed body
The Joint Director of Health Services (SS), Shillong Civil Hospital has informed that a male patient named King Syiemlieh (37) C/o PAB, Civil Hospital, was admitted on ICU, Bed No. 5 on August 22 at 8:33 pm. However, the patient expired on August 31 at 3:50 pm. All concerned relatives, etc, are requested to collect the body from the morgue of the hospital within a period of 3 days failing which the body will be sent for disposal by the Shillong Municipal Board.

IMFL drive
The Excise Department of East Khasi Hills District, Shillong conducted raids in the restaurants and stalls in the town and its outskirts where during the month of July, the department has detected 20 cases with a seizure of 376.360 litres of i/d liquor and 2.970 litres IMFL. In this connection, 15 persons were arrested under the Excise Act.

Flood camp
