Seng Kynthei, MLA take lead to control drug abuse

SHILLONG: The Seng Kynthei Wahthapbroo under the leadership of Suk Pariat took initiative to control drug abuse and petty crime at Mothphran area.
In a statement, Pariat said they started patrolling the area together with local MLA Adelbert Nongrum from Wednesday night.
“When our MLA saw that there was no light in the area, he contacted the assistant executive engineer D Pakma and within a day like magic, electricity was restored the next day”, Pariat said.
The Seng Kynthei appreciated the gesture of the local MLA who also joined the women’s organisation to support their cause.
