Resignation
People’s Democratic Front (PDF), East Khasi Hills District vice-president and adviser, Mylliem Zonal Committee, Spar Lyngdoh resigned from the party. He tendered his resignation with the president of PDF, Mylliem Zonal Committee and said that he along with 40 supporters have resigned from PDF on Monday.
General meeting
A general meeting of the All Meghalaya Government L.P. School Contractual Teacher Association will be held at Dinam Hall, Shillong, from 10 am onwards on Saturday.
Onam celebration
Kalakairaly, a socio-cultural organisation of Malayalees in Shillong will celebrate Onam at Aurobindo Cultural Centre, Shillong at 2 pm on Sunday. B Chandrashekar, CGM BSNL NE will be the chief guest. Various programmes will be held and the Kalakairali Kesari Award will be presented to Ampili Kumar. President Nijil James, welfare chairman C. J. George, and general secretary Alexander Mathew will address the meeting.
