Father thrashes son to death
On September 18 around 6.30 am, Gredinath K Sangma of Matchakolgre Damas under Dainadubi OP, North Garo Hills assaulted his son viz., Kalben K Marak (17) for stealing a bicycle. As a result, the victim sustained injuries and later succumbed to his injuries.

Man creates ruckus
Martina Sohtun, Assistant Treasurer & Convener, Seng Samla Mawlai Nongkwar, Block-III A, Women’s Wing lodged a complaint that on September 19 around 1.53 am, while the complainant along with others were patrolling the area, they detected Skhemkupar Massar (27) while he was indecently shouting on the premises of Ibalahun Shabong and disturbing the locality. However, when the complainant and her companions tried to intervene, the accused threatened them with dire consequences.

Assaults
Erantis Sympli of Byndihati village, authorised person to transport ‘auctioned coal’, has lodged a complaint that on September 14, while he was at Shohshrieh Police Check Gate (East Jaintia Hills), two trucks (ML-05S-9859 & ML-05Q-3859) were stopped and challan bearing Book No. 73 Serial No. 00237 and Book No. 72 bearing Serial No. 007163, were compared and found to be fake. Later, three persons namely Lastinme Syad, Damewanki Rymbai and Wanbud Dkhar, abused and also threatened Sympli with dire consequences.
Sengrak C Marak lodged a complaint that on September 15 around 11.30 pm, one unidentified miscreant assaulted him and his friend viz., Kirlos at Mawbah, Shillong. As a result, the victims sustained injuries and were shifted to CH Shillong, where Kirlos was admitted.

Tenant mortgages owner’s land
On September 19, Pelin Biam lodged a complaint that her tenant identified as Havergail Bareh of Jaiaw Langsning, Shillong, has mortgaged the complainant’s land without her knowledge. Biam came to know about the matter through a local newspaper.

Theft
Florida Dkhar of Lumdiengmet, Umpling, Shillong lodged a complaint that on September 17, miscreants stole her purse containing cash Rs. 1,800, office ID, ATM card, EPIC, etc. Later, the complainant learnt that the miscreants also withdrawn Rs. 15,000 from her account.
Jenny L Lyngkhoi lodged a complaint that on September 17 around 7.30 am, she learnt that miscreants had broke into her shop at Madanrting, Block-D, Shillong and stole cash Rs. 900, a bluetooth speaker valued around Rs. 800, etc.
Pannag Pathak of HDFC Bank, Ampati Branch, South West Garo Hills lodged a complaint that on September 16 around 11.30 am, he found that during his absence, miscreants broke into his house at Ampati and stole one laptop valued around Rs. 30,000, Rs. 5,000 cash and his original educational documents, etc.
Makhan Shah lodged a complaint that on September 16 around 7.30 pm, he gave his scooty (ML-05P-5147) to his friend viz., Rohit of Happy Valley, Shillong. However, till date the accused failed to return the scooty and his whereabouts is not known.

FIR
Aldous Mawlong, Commissioner & Secretary, Government of Meghalaya lodged a complaint that on September 17 around 7.30 pm, he learnt that his casual staff namely Stevenson Lamin and his friends were playing loud music and creating nuisance in his residence at Mawlai Nongmali-III, Shillong. On confronting them, they fled away leaving behind their belongings and one Maruti local taxi (ML-05K-6463). Following this, the complainant locked the doors and the gate. However, when the complainant went back later, he found that the lock of the gate was broken; the hook of the main gate was uprooted and the local taxi was taken away.

Attempt to break in
Arel Marak, Superintendent of CGST, Tura Range, West Garo Hills lodged a complaint that on September 15 around 1.30 am, one unidentified miscreant attempted to break the lock of the Main Gate of the Office of CGST, Tura & Williamnagar Range at Hawakhana, Tura (WGH).

Trespassing
Riving War lodged a complaint that on September 15 at about 9 pm, about 8-9 peole trespassed into her residential compound at Lower Mawprem, Shillong. Later, the complainant learnt that one labourer was brutally injured by the unidentified persons.
