Clarification
The family members of late Constantine Lyngdoh have clarified that Lyngdoh had served in the High Court as an Assistant Librarian and not as a Judge. The family members regretted for misinformation regarding the profession of Lyngdoh.

Programme

Rice released
The DC (Supply), East Khasi Hills District has informed that rice under NFSA and Non-NFSA and Tide-over wheat for the month of September has been released through their respective Fair Price Shops w.e.f Tuesday. All the Fair Price Shop Dealers are directed to lift their quota within October 10 and to display the list of beneficiaries and the price board in their shops.

Condolence meet
The members of Geetali, Laban, has organised a condolence meeting on Monday on the premises of its club office wherein they remembered (L) Somesh Ranjan Choudhury (Bishuda), an active patron of the club. Earlier, floral tributes were paid to him. The members present there also observed two-minute silence. The members prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul.
