Duped
One Handibad Khyriem of Pdengshakap village, West Jaintia Hills lodged a complaint that on July 11, one Mariabait Marboh agreed to supply ten buffalos to him at the rate of Rs 4,70,000. On July 21, the complainant and Marboh went to Jorabat, where the latter made an agreement with one person identified as Sohaib to supply the cattle. Later, on seeing the cattle, the complainant paid 4,70,000 to Marboh. However, the cattle were not delivered to the complainant and the whereabouts of Marboh is not known.

Drugs seized
On September 25 around 7 am, acting on a tip-off, police conducted a search in the house of one Vicky A Sangma at Matchakolgre, Tura, West Garo Hills and recovered/seized some amount of suspected heroin.
On September 25 around 10 am, acting on inputs that three persons viz., Ansram R Marak, Tengsrang S Sangma and Jakim Ch Marak were illegally consuming and supplying psychotropic substances (drugs), police raided the house of Ansram R Marak at New Tura and recovered/seized the drugs from his room.

Fraudulent transaction
Bledhina Ch. Momin of Fancy Valley, Tura, lodged a complaint that on September 13, unknown miscreant(s) fraudulently withdrew Rs. 4,000 from her SBI account.
