SHILLONG: The residents of Mawsynram have been facing undue harassment due to the poor network connectivity provided in the area by BSNL and Reliance Jio, a concerned citizen of the region informed in a statement issued here.
“It is very disturbing and almost a complete fiasco that a prominent service provider such as BSNL and Reliance Jio establishment cannot provide proper and uninterrupted services to the people of Mawsynram and adjoining areas,” the statement said.
It was also informed that the individual has urged the general manager of BSNL to look into the matter at the earliest. The demand for improved network connectivity has been conveyed to the office of Reliance Jio as well. The companies even disconnect the mobile services on a very short notice if payment was delayed. “The people of Mawsynram urge the service providers to kindly ensure uninterrupted services with quality at par with the rest of the country,” it said.
