Hek not to attend canonisation

SHILLONG: The Prime Minister’s office has selected BJP MLA and Cabinet Minister AL Hek to be a part of the delegation led by the Minister of State for External Affairs, V Muraleedharan, and attend the canonisation of Mariam Thresia, foundress of the Sisters of the Holy Family.
The canonisation is scheduled for Sunday, but Hek, who is not said to be keeping well, will not be able to attend the programme.
Twelve members from across the country, including Hek, have been selected to be part of the delegation.
Hek said on Friday that he has already conveyed his inability to attend the programme.
