SHILLONG: The North East Postal Circle observed Veterans’ Day on Tuesday in connection with the week-long National Postal Week, 2019 celebration which started on October 9.
Mildred Iawphniaw, Retd. Postmaster General was the veteran guest on the occasion and shared her experiences before the gathering.
A meeting was also held in which Anjali Anand, chief postmaster general, North East Circle, Shillong, CL Lalfakzuala, director postal services, North East Circle and other high level officers were present.
Others who attended the programme included I Pangernungsang, Postmaster General, SN Tariang, DA (P), North East Circle and Pradip Majumdar, Asstt. Director.
