RANCHI: Five members of the Indian Test Cricket Team along with the entire squad of the visitors South Africa reached here to play the third and final test match between the two nations from October 19 at the JSCA International Stadium here.
The players of the home side who reached Ranchi included Mayank Aggarwal, Cheteshwar Pujana, R Ashwin, Ishant Sharma and Hanuma Vihari. On the other hand skipper, Virat Kohli along with his deputy Ajinkya Rahane and other players will be arriving on Thursday and Friday.
Upon arrival at the airport, the teams were taken to their respective hotels. While the home side has been kept in Radisson Blu the South Africans have been located at Hotel Le Lac. Sources at JSCA said that Virat Kohli, Rogit Sharma and Ajunkya Rahae have gone to Mumbai from Pune and they will be coming to Ranchi on Thursday.
With the series already lost the South Africans will be practising in the ground tomorrow afternoon while players from the home side have opted for alight practice session tomorrow morning from 1000hrs. (UNI)
