Rice, wholemeal atta released
The Deputy Commissioner (Supply), East Khasi Hills has informed consumers that rice under NFSA and non-NFSA and tide-over wheat for the month of October has been released through their respective Fair Price Shops with effect from October 21. Rice under AAY will be distributed at the scale of 35 kg per card at Rs 3 per card, PHH 5 kg per unit at Rs 3 per kg, TO 7 kg per household at Rs 11.70 – 12 per kg. Wholemeal atta will be distributed at the scale of 5 kg and 3 kg for urban and rural areas respectively at Rs 8 per kg. Any non-supply, overcharging of rate or supply of inferior quality of commodities may be reported to the deputy commissioner.

Registration postponed
Online registration for admission in Sainik School Goalpara for Class VI and IX (boys only) for the academic year 2020-21 has been extended to October 31. Applications can be sent online at www.sainikschooladmission.in or www.sainikschoolgoalpara.org. The date of examination is January 5, 2020.
