‘Run for Unity’ on Oct 31

NONGSTOIN: As part of the celebration of Rashtriya Ekta Diwas, the Office of the Deputy Commissioner, West Khasi Hills, Nongstoin together with the Office of the District Sports Officer and the District Sports Promotion Society will organise the ‘Run for Unity’ (7.3 Km) within the district on October 31. The ‘Run for Unity’ will feature both Men & Women runners and the complete route for the run will be announced on that day itself. The Office of the District Sports Officer, on Wednesday, announced that cash prizes along with certificates will be awarded to the winners. Special prizes will also be awarded to the youngest and oldest participant. All entries should be submitted to the Office of the District Sports Officer, West Khasi Hills during office hours on or before October 29. Entries received after the closing date will not be accepted. He also said that participants will have to bring along their original birth certificate during registration.
