SHILLONG: Three persons identified as Rokibul Islam, Saiful Islam and Mohidul Islam of Assam were picked up on October 24 with the help of Gorchuk Police for breaking a State Bank of India cash deposit machine at Umroi and taking away Rs 3.15 lakh.
Ri Bhoi SP C Syrti said that they received some source information that the vehicle which was used in the instant case was seen somewhere at Bhetapara, under Hatigaon police station.
On receiving the information, Ri Bhoi police along with OC Khanapara left for Inquiry and the vehicle (AS 01 DR 1262) along with the driver was detained and intimation was given to Hatigaon police station.
All the three accused persons are under police custody for thorough investigation.
The third accused has been identified as Mohidul Islam.
