3 BSF jawans in NEIGRIHMS ICU

SHILLONG: Three of the 22 persons injured in mishap when a bus carrying BSF personnel went off the road recently continue to be under treatment in the ICU at NEIGRIHMS.
Of the remaining, five are admitted in the Orthopaedics ward, three in Casualty, one each in Neurosurgery and General Surgery ward
Twenty-two patients were referred to NEIGRIHMS after the bus carrying the jawans went off-road and fell into a deep gorge at Umtyra in East Jaintia Hills on October 30.
All the department heads of the hospital were alerted. Doctors operated on several the entire night.
Director NEIGRIHMS Dr DM Thappa visited the patients along with HoD Orthopaedics, HoD General Surgery and the Medical Superintendent and appreciated the doctors and other staff for their efforts.
