Arson
Badaplin T Jyrwa lodged a complaint stating that on November 13 around 8:20 am, unknown miscreants set fire to the staff room of Nongrah Presbyterian Secondary School in Nongrah, Shillong. Furniture, books and school records were destroyed in the blaze.

Assault
Overding Kharlait of Nongdom village in West Khasi Hills lodged a complaint stating that on November 12 around 2am, his estranged stepfather identified as Tomanbethum Marweiñ (53), trespassed onto the residence of the complainant’s mother Spina Kharlait and stabbed her with a knife. The accused also threatened the victim and her family members with dire consequences. As a result, the victim sustained injuries and was shifted to U Tirot Sing Syiem Memorial Hospital in Mairang.

ATM fraud
David Lari Nongbri lodged a complaint stating that on November 12 around 11am, one unidentified person assisted him in withdrawing Rs 5,000 from an ATM in Mairang, West Khasi Hills. The unidentified person returned back the complainant’s ATM card. However, the complainant later received a text message informing that Rs. 30,000 had been debited from his account. It was at this time that the complainant discovered that the unidentified person has swapped the ATM card and cheated him.

Theft
Babatlang Rajee lodged a complaint stating that on November 8 around 9pm, he had discovered that one dumper truck (AS-09C-7482) belonging to John Kennedy Basaiawmoit had gone missing near Zero Point, Bholaganj in East Khasi Hills.
The branch manager of SBI, Selsella Branch lodged a complaint stating that on the night of November 9, unknown miscreants broke into the bank, damaged the CCTV cables and the safe slmirah and stole one DBBL gun along with the cartridges.
