FKJGP opposes non-tribal setting up petrol pump

NONGPOH: The Federation of Khasi Jaintia and Garo People (FKJGP) North Khasi Hills has strongly opposed the intention of a non-tribal to set up a petrol pump at Pahamlang 17 Mer in Ri Bhoi.
In a statement issued here, the general secretary, FKJGP, North Khasi Hills, Luistar Lyngdoh said that the federation had received credible information that a non-tribal, identified as Dilip Kumar Roy, resident of Fulbari, West Bengal has an intention to set up a petrol pump at Pahamlang 17 Mer, near Byrnihat in Ri Bhoi. The federation strongly opposes the move, he added.
