Undelivered products
Ashok Sabherwal lodged a complaint that on November 6 and 7, he deposited Rs 2,27,800 in favour of M/s Zenith Biometric through bank transfer for delivery of products. However, till date, despite several requests from the complainant, the products have not been delivered.

Theft
Shekar Poddar lodged a complaint that on the night of November 17 and 18, unknown miscreant(s) broke into his shop in Iewduh and stole Rs 2 lakh in cash.
On November 13 around 2:30 pm, unknown miscreant(s) broke into the house of Sephrin Kharbani at Nongjyndiang village, WKH, and stole Rs 14,000 in cash and gold.

Duped
Abhijit Sarkar lodged a complaint that between February 11, 2019 and April 12, 2019, he was swindled of Rs 90,000 through an online advertisement by the name of ‘needfriendship.com’.

Drug bust
Primus Sungoh lodged a complaint that on November 18 around 11 am, police conducted raid at Shi Kilo, Dkhiah East, EJH, and apprehended one Ames Malang. Police also recovered/seized 0.46 grams of suspected heroin from his possession.

Assault
On November 18 evening, two masked miscreants attacked Phlorida Amsi and her husband viz., Kyrmen Pohkyrnu at their residence in Trangblang village, WJH. As a result, the duo sustained grievous injuries and was shifted to Dr. Norman Tunnel Hospital, Jowai.

Coal-laden trucks seized
S Marwein, MCS, Extra Assistant Commissioner, EJH, lodged a complaint that on November 17 around 1 pm during checking on illegal transportation of coal in and around Chiehruphi area, 55 coal-laden trucks illegally transporting coal were detected. However, all the drivers and coal owners fled away.
On November 15 around 6 pm, during vehicle checking in Lumshnong area, EJH, police detected two coal-laden trucks (AS-03AC-8855 and AS-01GC-7954) driven by Altaf Hussain and Rubel Ahmed. During enquiry, it was transpired that Jabu Ahmed, Nidashait Tyngkan and Sunny Wann were also involved in the illegal transportation of coal.

Robbed
Jamse R Sangma lodged a complaint that on November 16 around 7:30 pm, one unidentified person armed with a knife broke into her house at Bolsalgre, Baghmara, SGH, threatened her with dire consequences and demanded money from her. Out of fear, the complainant gave him Rs. 12,000 (approx). The accused also took away her mobile phone.
Bikash Ch Sangma lodged a complaint that on November 16 around midnight, unidentified armed miscreants went to his house at Samdong Songma village, SGH, took away Rs 2,500 in cash at gun point and also threatened him with dire consequences if failing to pay them Rs 30,000.

Fraudulent transactions
Suku Kumar Gupta lodged a complaint that on November 16, he learnt that Rs 10,000 was fraudulently withdrawn from an ATM at Lower Lachumiere and another Rs 50,000 was transferred without his knowledge.
Romi Ch Marak lodged a complaint that on November 4, unknown person(s) misused her debit card and fraudulently withdrew Rs 13,999 from her account.

Houses set ablaze
Silda Mukhim lodged a complaint that on November 14 around 2 am, one Linus Marngar set ablaze his wife’s house and the house of the complainant at Jatah village, Ri-Bhoi. As a result, both the houses were completely gutted.

Scooty goes missing
Jonebo B Sangma lodged a complaint that on November 6 night, his scooty (ML-08F-8813) was found missing from Bonepa Atila, WGH.

Killing bid
Shimtimary Puwein lodged a complaint that on November 1 around 5 pm, one Sowin Nongbri and his wife viz., Albina Riangshiang attempted to shoot Pristin Nongsiang at Nongdhar village, WKH.
