KSU leader gets bail

NONGPOH: The president of the KSU, North Khasi Hills District Unit, Ferdynald Kharkamni, was granted bail by the District Court of Ri Bhoi on Friday.
On being released from the District Jail, Kharkamni was received by the family members, well-wishers and central leaders of the KSU including Biangbor Paliar, organising secretary, Manly Nongpluh, finance secretary, Rapbor Nongrum, publicity secretary, Dakishan Malngiang, assistant office secretary and other leaders from the district.
Kharkamni was arrested on November 18 for allegedly assaulting the officer in-charge and head constable of Umiam Police Station.
