Sanbor for use of discretionary grant

SHILLONG: South Shillong legislator Sanbor Shullai wanted other MLAs to emulate his example of releasing discretionary grants to people.
Shullai recently released the discretionary grant of over Rs 8 lakh to the needy people of his constituency.
Shullai said Rs 8, 04,902 was released to 71 beneficiaries.
“This kind of financial help and support for the day-to-day needs and unforeseen incidents of people should be emulated by other legislators,” he said.
