NONGSTOIN: West Khasi Hills, Deputy Commissioner informed on Wednesday that December 13 has been declared a district holiday on the account of “Sib Singh Syiem Day”. Khasi Students’ Union (KSU), West Khasi Hills district unit general secretary, Rishotskhembor Kharbani urged all institutions, banks and all government offices to respect and cooperate the order issued by the DC.
The union also warned that if any of the institutions are opened they will have to close it down forcefully.
