NONGSTOIN: PD Sangma, in-charge Deputy Commissioner, West Khasi Hills, in exercise of power conferred under Section 324-A of the ME Act (Assam Excise Acts and Rules as adapted), has declared dry day in West Khasi Hills on December 25 and January 1 next year on account of Christmas celebrations and New Year day respectively.
All liquor shops, IMFL shops, bar hotels, canteen/CA bars, CS shops, out stills, bonded warehouse shall remain closed on the above mentioned dates. Violation of the above order will amount to punishment as per Excise Acts and Rules, the deputy commissioner informed.
