Though, sometimes they have been lucky to escape unseen, the residents who have lost their mobile phones and other items now wants the State police to act against these thieves who are mostly believed to be drug addicts.
Some people who have lost their phones said that these thieves usually operate in the group of two and they attack houses early in the morning after 5 am.
Jhalupara in the last few weeks, have seen atleast three instances when thieves entered the residence of the people in morning and stole mobile phones and cash.
There were few instances as well when they were about to be caught but they managed to escape.
What surprises many is the guts with which these miscreants have in entering houses early morning when most people usually get up.
