Speaker asks CM to look into load shedding

SHILLONG: The Speaker of Meghalaya Legislative Assembly, Metbah Lyngdoh, who is also the president of United Democratic Party, has urged the Chief Minister Conrad Sangma to seriously look into the load shedding in the state as it has affected a number of students who are preparing for their examinations.
Lyngdoh has urged the chief minister to shorten the duration of load shedding as students are preparing for SSLC, HSSLC and other examinations.
5-hr power cut in city
The MeECL has informed that the load shedding timing will be from 3 am to 6 am and again from 1 pm to 3 pm for the whole of Shillong. There would not be any power cut from 11 pm to 12 am.
Besides the whole of Shillong, other areas covered as per the same timing are Mawphlang block, Mawsynram, NEIGRIHMS and New Shillong Township.
