Theft
Abdul Subur lodged a complaint that during his absence between January 6-13, unknown miscreant(s) stole his motorcycle (AS-17A-3325), gold/silver ornaments and Rs 30,000 in cash from his residence at Bholarbhita, WGH.
Kerrimchi Kharmujai lodged a complaint that on January 17 at about 3 pm, unknown miscreant(s) stole a subwoofer from his vehicle, which was parked at Dhankheti.
Thomas Lyngdoh lodged a complaint that on January 16, unknown miscreant(s) stole Rs 40,000 in cash and gold ornaments valued around Rs 1 lakh from his residence at Mawlai Nongkwar, Block-10.
Benjamin Marbaniang of Riatsamthiah Block-I, Shillong, lodged a complaint that on January 16 around 9 pm, unknown miscreants stole his motorcycle from his residential compound.
Andrew M Sangma and two others lodged a complaint that on January 15 night, unknown miscreant(s) broke into Good Shepherd Church, Chapahati, Nogorpara, SWGH, and stole around Rs 2 lakh in cash.
Sonu Basfor lodged a complaint that on the January 13 night, unknown miscreant(s) stole his scooty (ML-08E-9515) which was parked at Mondoltilla, Hawakhana, Tura.

Payment failed
Napoleon S Mawphniang lodged a complaint that on September 6, 2019, Sweet Beconia Lyngdoh Tron signed a deal with the Director of Saindur Enviro Pvt. Ltd., as distributorship to distribute tyres from Lad Umroi to Bhoirymbong/Khliehriat areas. In this connection, she failed to deposit an outstanding amount of Rs 3,14,326 to the company.

Assault
Nilynti Tang of Mowtyrshiah village under Raliang OP, WJH, lodged a complaint that on December 29, 2019 around 8 pm, two persons, viz. Dannyson Lyngdoh and Phrangdamei Shadap assaulted her son Medistar Tang. As a result, the victim sustained injuries and was admitted to NEIGRIHMS for treatment.
On January 16, five persons, viz. Deboraj, Depankar, Robin, Lalu and Bipul assaulted Last Borson Khongtip and Aiborlang Marbaniang at Bholaganj Market under Shella PS, EKH.
Pankaj Gupta of Rishipara locality, Tura, lodged a complaint that on January 14 around 3:45 pm, one Mona Rishi of the same locality stabbed the former’s elder brother Suresh Gupta with a knife. As a result, the victim sustained grievous injuries and was admitted at CH, Tura.
Jaya Das of Pynthorumkhrah lodged a complaint that on January 15 around 10:30 am, one Geeta Dey alias Marysha Kharkongor along with Priya Dey, Sanjit Dey, Hemendro Paul, Sikha Paul and Apsara Dympep, assaulted her and her family in their residence, causing grievous injuries to them, and also attempted to murder them.

Duped
Incaricyne Dora Lyndem lodged a complaint that on January 13 and 14, an unknown miscreant cheated her of Rs 1,15,000.
Encroachment bid
Amit Sharma lodged a complaint that on January 17 around 1 am, three unknown miscreants were caught red-handed while they were attempting to break into his residence near Assam Studio, Police Bazaar.

Tyres damaged
Isaac W Basaiawmoit lodged a complaint that on January 17 between 10-11 pm, unknown miscreant(s) damaged the tyres of his vehicle (ML-05E-0211) at Mawlai Nonglum.

Pistol-selling bid foiled
Police on January 16 — acting of a tip-off that one Artis Rajit G Momin of Diganggre village under Rongram OP, WGH, was attempting to sell a pistol for Rs 40,000 — conducted an operation at Diganggre area and apprehended the latter.

Illegal coal transportation
On January 16 around 7 pm, police along with residents of Thapa Darengchi village, NGH, detected three pick-up vehicles (ML-07-6476, AS-19AC-3340 and ML-13-0791) at the village, while illegally transporting coal.
On January 11 around 5 pm, police detected one truck (TR-05A-1901) which was parked at Umkiang village, WJH, and was transporting coal without valid documents, in violation of NGT order. During enquiry, it transpired that three persons, viz. Jabir Hussain, Burhal Uddin and Barun Lyngdoh were involved in the case.

Contraband seized
On January 15 around 9:15 pm, Khliehriat Police, EJH, detected one Maruti Swift car (ML-05L-8177) and during checking, recovered/seized contraband, suspected to be heroin, weighing around 430.01 grams. In this connection, the police detained three occupants of the vehicle.

Illegal tree felling
Spermi Sungoh, Waheh Shnong and Wandame Suchiang, Secy., of Iongkwang village, WJH, lodged a complaint that on January 15 around 8:30 pm, one Shaniah Suchiang along with Paulus Sungoh and Beril Lamare illegally felled 30 trees from the forest belonging to the Dorbar Shnong at Lum Thadkba, WJH.

ATM Kiosk damaged
Alakesh Pathak lodged a complaint that on January 15, he found that unknown miscreant(s) damaged the lock of the shutter of an ATM Kiosk near Laitumkhrah Police Point.

Trespass
Mrinal Kanti Dey lodged a complaint that on January 15, he learnt that unknown miscreant(s) broke into the residence of his mother-in-law (Qrt. No. 6, Accommodation Quarter) at Motinagar and ransacked the rooms. However, the stolen items are yet to be ascertained.
