ISRO’s 2nd session of YUVIKA

SHILLONG: The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) will hold the second session of its special programme for school children, viz. ‘Young Scientist Programme’ ‘Yuva Vigyani Karyakram (YUVIKA)’ from May 11-22. Three students from each state/union territory will be selected whereas five additional seats have been reserved for OCA (Overseas Citizen of India).
Students, who are studying in 9th standard, are only eligible for the programme, which is primarily aimed at imparting basic knowledge on space technology, space science and space applications to the younger ones.
In this regard, students selected from Northeastern states and West Bengal will attend the YUVIKA programme at North Eastern Space Applications Centre (NESAC), Shillong.
The selection will be based on a student’s 8th standard marks and extracurricular activities. For more information and for online registration, the interested students can go to www.isro.gov.in.
Online registration will be accepted from February 3 to 24.
