Lucknow: Former World No. 10 Wong Wing Ki Vincent continued his winning streak to beat 2014 Commonwealth Games champion Parupalli Kashyap while Beiwen Zhang dazzled as the Awadhe Warriors beat the Mumbai Rockets in the last tie here in Lucknow at the Star Sports Premier Badminton League held at the Babu Banarasi Das Badminton Academy on Tuesday.
Vincent beat Daren Liew in Awadhe’s last showdown with the Hyderabad Hunters and he once more showed that same confidence and conviction when he took on Kashyap.
The two had previously squared off twice on the BWF circuit with the World No. 25 Kashyap leading 2-0 in their head-to-head record.
This time, he was unable to do much against Vincent who was on attacking gear from the start. (IANS)
