SHILLONG: Cluster CC defeated Ultimate XI by 1 run in the Shillong Cricket League – C Division at the 7th Mile Ground here on Friday even as NEPA emerged victorious beating Mawsynram Block Sports Association by 86 runs in the second match.
In the first match, Cluster CC won the toss and elected to bat.
The team scored 204 runs (all out) in 20 overs with Ayushman Das top-scoring with 66 runs off 40 balls.
In reply, Ultimate XI reached 203/4 in 20 overs.
Cluster CC made it difficult for their opponents to cruise to the target and took home a deserving victory.
In the second match, played between NEPA and Mawsynram Block Sports Association, the former won the toss and elected to bat first.
NEPA batsmen pushed themselves to their absolute limit to score 156/6 in 20 overs.
Continuing such enthusiasm, NEPA bundled out their opponents Mawsynram Block Sports Association for 70 in 17.3 overs to bag a comfortable 86-run victory.
