Sex racket slur on eatery

NONGPOH: During an inspection conducted by the women under the umbrella of the Khanapara Border Area Committee (KBAC) on Thursday afternoon to check anti-social activities at Neepa Dhaba suspected to be running a sex racket, one of the leaders of the KBAC was allegedly assaulted by the owner of the dhaba.
The attack on the leader, I Lynshing by the dhaba owner, Babli Boro, prompted the leaders of the Hynniewtrep National Youth Front, Northern Region (HNYF-NR) to rush to the area and intervene in the matter.
Lynshing said that the dhaba has been under the radar of the KBAC for quite some time as they alleged that the owner was using innocent girls to involve in an illegal sex business inside the dhaba.
The KBAC leader also informed that during the surprise checking, the organisation members found three girls being hidden by owner inside the dhaba while alleging that instead of talking to the members of the KBAC, the owner assaulted her and ran away along with his workers.
She also stated that the KBAC has filed an FIR in this regard against the dhaba owner at Khanapara Police Station for running a sex racket and luring innocent girls into his business.
She also urged the police to arrest the owner and conduct thorough enquiry to reveal the truth into his business. Meanwhile, leaders of the HNYF NR condemned the dhaba owner for assaulting the KBAC leader and that the federation will shut down the business immediately and will not allow it to reopen. The youth body also urged the police to arrest the owner and conduct proper enquiry to find out the truth, while adding that due to the presence of such dhabas several innocent girls are spoiled and the society at large was badly affected.
