2 bodies recovered from NH-6

JOWAI: East Jaintia Hills police has recovered two bodies including that of a female from National Highway 6 between Ratacherra and Malidor, bordering Assam on Monday.
The two bodies were found lying 60-70 metres from each other.
According to sources, the female body was dumped along the highway less than 24 hours ago whereas the male body was found in a highly decomposed state.
The bodies were shifted to Khliehriat CHC for post-mortem examination.
Sources also informed that the woman, aged around 30, might have been raped and murdered before her body was dumped there.
Police have begun investigation and WT messages have been dispatched across all the Northeastern states for identification of the bodies.
