SHILLONG: The Dorbar Shnong Sarin, South West Khasi Hills has written to Empowered Officer, SSRDA, PMGSY, PR Marwein on the construction and repair of the 12.25 kms Rangthong-Sarin roads.
The Dorbar Shnong stated that the dilapidated road conditions from Rangthong to Sarin has created an impediment to passers-by and the residents of the village.
It also criticised the procrastination on the part of M/S Bhawani construction and company, Madhubani via Jhanjharour, Madhubani district to expedite the roads project which has been sanctioned by the government at a cost of Rs 7,40,823 lakh.
It also said that the contractor recklessly implemented the road project. The Durbar has asked Marwein to look into the matter.
