Ban on strikes

Shillong: The Secretary, Political Department, has informed that in view of the extreme urgency to help contain possibility of outbreak and spread of COVID-19, the state government has prohibited strikes in any essential services in order to prevent any disruption and breakdown of emergency services to the public.
This order, which comes into force with immediate effect, will remain in force for a period of six months.
