Nodal officers for migrant workers

SHILLONG: The Chief Secretary to the state government, in an order issued on Tuesday, has informed that Chinmay P Gotmare, Secretary to the state government, Planning department and Cyril VD Diengdoh, Secretary to the state government, Political department shall function as nodal officers for monitoring and coordinating with other state governments in matters concerning migrant workers and students from the state who are stranded elsewhere. Bhupesh Hajong, Joint Secretary to the state government, Revenue and Disaster Management department and Larry Rymbai, Executive Assistant, PIU-3, MSSDS will assist the nodal officers, the order added.
Curfew pass
Meanwhile, the Chief Secretary also said that B Syiem, Director of Agriculture and GMRK Marak, Director of Animal Husbandry & Veterinary have been authorised to issue curfew and vehicle passes to officials and staff of their respective departments.
