SHILLONG: The newly formed Educare Progressive Society will provide meals and other edibles to hungry street dogs. Besides feeding dogs, the society will also help some identified underprivileged and needy families of Shillong during the lockdown due to COVID-19.
The Society, with Bunlang War as president Sylvester B Shangpliang as general secretary and Sujit Singh as treasurer, was formed on Tuesday by a few likeminded people of Shillong primarily with a view to promote reading culture and other allied social activities. The headquarter is at Mission Compound, Mawkhar.
