NEW  DELHI: The National Green Tribunal (NGT) on Tuesday adjourned all the matters listed during the second phase of the lockdown to the months of June and July.

The decision came against the backdrop of extension of the nation-wide lockdown to May 3 in a bid to contain the spread of deadly coronavirus.

“In the wake of the outbreak of coronavirus and consequent extension of lockdown till May 3, all the matters scheduled to be listed from 15.4.2020 to 03.05.2020 stand adjourned,” Registrar General Ashu Garg said.

During the first phase of the lockdown, the tribunal had adjourned all the matters listed till March 31 for the month of July.

To make up for the loss of working hours due to the incumbent lockdown, the Tribunal has also cancelled the summer vacations which were scheduled for June 2020.
