MLA provides relief to affected families

NONGSTOIN: Altogether 2,100 packets of rice worth 25 lakh from the MLA scheme and Rs 10 lakh from the MDC scheme have been released by Gigur Myrthong, MLA & MDC of Mawshynrut in order to provide relief to the families affected due to the lockdown.
Myrthong handed over the rice packets to the chairman of Block Development Monitoring Committee (BDMC), Hamilton Dkhar, for distribution to various villages in Mawshynrut on Saturday.
Earlier, the MLA had also released 2,400 packets of rice.
Hamilton Dkhar said that the relief will be provided to as many as 320 villages falling under Mawshynrut Constituency.
“Altogether 185 families have benefitted from the relief till date and the rest will be completed within this week,” Dkhar added.
