Assam PWD set to resume work on road projects

GUWAHATI: Assam PWD is all set to resume work on various road projects which were put on a hold  because of the prevailing lockdown forced by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The decision has been taken after getting go-ahead from the Union government which has of course put the rider of maintaining social distance and adopting other precautions against the spread of the pandemic.

State PWD Minister, Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma along with the minister of state Jogen Mohan, Commissioner of PWD Roads and the Chief Minister, today held a video conference with Executive Engineers of the department and asked them to roll out pending projects.
