SHILLONG: The Khasi Student’s Union (KSU) South Khasi Hills circle will soon meet Chief Minister Conrad Sangma to apprise him of the incomplete road project starting from Mawsmai road-Lad Sohbar-Thangkharang.
In a statement issued here, the general secretary of the circle, Edmund Khongsya said that the company German Technology which undertook the road project has left the work incomplete despite the work order which dated from 2016/2017.
“It is 2020 and the road condition is still bad due to the incomplete work”, he said. He added that in July 2019, the union demanded from the PWD to direct the company to discontinue the road construction and to explore other options but the demand fell on deaf ears.
In connection with the apathy of the state government, the union has decided to meet the CM and will also send copies of their grievances to the Centre.
