35357 Manipuris stranded outside state given monetary assistance: CM

Imphal: Manipur government is giving financial assistance of Rs 2000 to every person from the state who were stranded in other states.
Chief Minister N Biren today announced in a social network platform that Rs 7.07 cr were used from the CM Covid Fund to help the stranded people.
He said that so far Rs. 11.33 crores were donated to the CM COVID-19 Relief Fund.
The chief minister further said it was due to the help extended by the people that the government could help the stranded people.
Manipur government had opened a website named tengbang where all stranded people could register themselves. All applicants were processed and verified by a team of officials.
People who were talking shelter in Manipur Bhawan, Guwahati will also be brought back to the state. (UNI)
